As we shelter-in at Condor’s Hope we keep pace with the spring projects in the vineyard and take joy in experiencing the surprise March snow and the beauty of the mountains and wildflowers. We hope you enjoy these photos and look forward to your joining us at Condor’s Hope soon.

- Meditation bench at ranch: Nature flows says Lao Tzu
- Wildflowers of Fiddleneck
- and Shooting Star respond to the warm February.
- Suddenly comes March snow.
- which confuses Fiddleneck
- and captivates us
- and Cora.
- Snow covered Sierra Madre Mtns.
- Olive leaves capture snowflakes.
- and the open head of the grapevine does too.
- Not time for a spring bbq yet.
- Yet it is time to prune the vines.
- From Medusa heads
- to sculpted beauties.
- The Shiraz get long-pruned to protect them from late frost.
- After frost danger, we prune back to 2 buds.
- We prune Zinfandel to 2 buds
- because leaves emerge after frost danger.
- After 2 weeks of pruning we
- complete the task.
- Haircuts all around.
- Then there is time for walks
- and being part of nature.
- The oak tree buds
- Cora runs and relaxes.
- And the flowers continue to bloom.
- Owl’s-clover
- Thistle sage
- We become whole in nature.
